The US markets closed lower Friday after a disappointing jobs report. The U.S. economy added a less than expected 80,000 jobs last month, the Labor Department said Friday. "The obvious concern is that this is the start of a slowdown that will lead to another recession," Capital Economics said in a report. "Although it is very clear that the U.S. economy has lost a lot of momentum, there are no real indications that it will soon come to a complete standstill or even go into reverse."
Global markets have followed today:
In Asia: Japan -1.4%, Hong Kong -1.9%, China -2.4%, India -0.7%
In Europe: London -1.4%, Paris -0.4%
US Futures at 7:00 AM followed the trend:
Dow -0.4%, S&P -0.4%, Nasdaq -0.2%
